Where it’s made: Made in Japan using vintage hanging (loopwheel) knitting machines
What it’s made from: 100% cotton loopwheel fleece, raffia yarn
Fit description: Short, boxy vintage fit with dropped shoulders – runs small
This loopwheel sweatshirt from Dubbleworks is knitted on hanging machines dating back to the 1950s. The slow, low-tension process produces a fluffy, airy fleece with a soft hand feel that retains its shape even after repeated wear — a hallmark of true vintage sportswear.
Made using raffia yarn, the fabric has a subtle unevenness and textured character reminiscent of original mid-century sweatshirts. The seamless round body (no side seams) wraps comfortably around the torso, while traditional flat-seam stitching prevents bulk and irritation at the seams.
Finished with a relaxed, short and boxy silhouette and dropped shoulders, this is an exceptionally comfortable sweatshirt with authentic heritage character. Runs small — we recommend sizing up.
Olof is 185 cm / 80 kg and wears size XL.
