Spellbound

Spellbound is a Japanese workwear and denim brand founded in 1981 in Kojima, Okayama—often referred to as the birthplace of Japanese denim. The brand is part of Domingo Co., one of Japan’s oldest denim manufacturers, and benefits from decades of expertise in fabric development, weaving, and garment construction.

Rooted in the region’s strong textile heritage, Spellbound combines traditional craftsmanship with a modern approach to fit and finishing. Their garments draw inspiration from classic American and European workwear and military clothing, reinterpreted through a distinctly Japanese lens.

A defining feature of the brand is its attention to fabric and washes. Spellbound has developed numerous wash and finishing techniques to create denim and cotton garments that feel comfortable from the start while still aging beautifully with wear.

Today, Spellbound continues to produce all of its garments in Japan, focusing on durable materials, relaxed silhouettes, and timeless pieces designed for everyday use
