Samurai

Samurai Jeans is a Japanese denim brand founded in 1997 by Toru Nogami in Osaka, known for producing some of the heaviest and most textured selvedge denim in the world. Rooted in craftsmanship and tradition, Samurai sets itself apart with its dedication to authenticity—most notably through the Samurai Cotton Project. 

Launched in 2008, this initiative saw the brand grow its own cotton in Sasayama, Hyogo Prefecture, reviving a craft largely lost in Japan. The cotton is organically cultivated, hand-harvested, and used in select garments, adding depth and cultural value to each piece. Combining traditional techniques with bold, heavyweight denim, Samurai creates jeans that are as durable as they are distinctive.
