The IHSH-439 Purple Check Western Shirt from Iron Heart is a lighter alternative to the brand’s signature Ultra Heavy Flannel, offering the same attention to detail in a more breathable format. Woven as a 9 oz selvedge flannel, it provides a comfortable weight suited for transitional seasons and warmer days.

The fabric is constructed on rare shuttle looms — with only a handful in Japan capable of producing these complex patterns — where the weft yarn is switched mid-weave to create the intricate check. Unlike earlier versions, this flannel uses reactive-dyed yarns, resulting in a more colourfast finish with minimal fading over time.

Cut in Iron Heart’s slimmer western shirt silhouette, it features classic details such as pearl snap fastenings, western-style flap chest pockets, and front and back yokes. Construction includes single, double, and triple-needle stitching, felled internal seams, and subtle touches like a selvedge ID and orange bobbin thread.

One-washed with no shrinkage expected.
