This silk-screen printed bandana is crafted by a long-established Tokyo scarf maker, active since 1918. The fabric is 100% cotton and dyed using the traditional Japanese navy colour "Kon-iro", with pigment soaked all the way through to the reverse side.
The “Kikusui” pattern, combining flowing water and chrysanthemum flowers, is one of Japan’s most historic motifs. Here, it’s been reinterpreted by illustrator Junichi Kobashi, giving the design a refined, modern elegance. When worn, the flowing water pattern subtly forms a stylish striped accent.
Each bandana is delivered in a traditional Japanese wax paper envelope, making it both a wearable piece and a beautiful gift.
