The Japanese Cotton Crew T-Shirt from Samurai Jeans is a heavyweight tee built around the brand’s dedication to material and process. Using cotton grown in Sasayama, Hyogo, the fibres are hand-handled and spun into uneven slub yarns, creating a fabric with exceptional texture and depth.

Knitted in Wakayama on vintage machines, the 16oz jersey takes inspiration from Samurai’s famed “Zero” denim concept, translating that same rugged character into a knit fabric. The result is a tee with real structure — substantial, yet comfortable — that will soften and develop personality over time.

In its natural ‘kinari’ colour, the fabric is left undyed and unbleached, preserving the raw, organic tone of the cotton. Construction details include a three-needle binder neck for durability and finishing on a vintage Union Special flat seamer, ensuring a smooth feel on the inside.
