The S2000HXII Japanese Cotton GL3 Model from Samurai Jeans is a renewed version of the brand’s Vintage Series, built with a strong focus on historical detail and fabric development. Woven on the rare Toyoda GL3 power loom, the denim combines a slubby #6 Texas cotton warp with a #5 weft yarn blended with Samurai’s own Japanese cotton, resulting in a fabric full of texture, nep, and character.

At 15.8 oz, the denim has a substantial feel while still retaining the irregularities and depth associated with vintage looms. The indigo-dyed warp delivers a rich blue tone that will fade beautifully over time, while the weft adds a natural, slightly rough texture. Subtle details like the kinari selvedge with a pale pink thread and a single strand of lame thread give it a distinctive Samurai touch.

The construction reflects WWII-era influences, with iron laurel buttons,thick two-prong rivets, and partially unfinished inner seams to replicate original manufacturing methods. The pocket bags are made from olive herringbone fabric, and the leather patch references early Samurai wartime models.
