The Headlight Random HBT Work Coat (Lot HD15908) from Sugar Cane is part of the Headlight reproduction series, reviving rare American workwear from the 1930s–40s. The fabric is developed by analysing deadstock garments, resulting in an extremely rare herringbone twill with irregular, randomly arranged weave pitches that give it a distinctive vintage texture.

Based on classic 1930s work coats, the design features a range of period-correct details, including a stand collar with chin strap, change buttons at the front, a functional 3-in-1 chest pocket, and adjustable cuffs. The overall silhouette follows a straight, slightly relaxed vintage fit, true to garments of the era.

The original Headlight brand, part of the Larned Carter Company, was known for producing durable garments for railroad workers and engineers, handling everything from weaving to sewing in-house. Today, original pieces are highly collectible, and this series brings those hard-to-find designs back with remarkable accuracy.
