The Astorflex Alpiflex XLC Boots 604 Taupe are a rugged interpretation of Astorflex’s traditional Italian footwear, combining a hiking-inspired boot shape with the softer, more understated character the brand is known for. The upper is made from soft taupe suede, complemented by tonal stitching and a full leather lining. Astorflex has been making footwear in Castel d’Ario, Italy since 1820, with the company remaining in the same family for seven generations. 

The construction combines a leather midsole with a substantial rubber outsole, giving the Alpiflex more grip and structure than Astorflex’s classic natural-crepe desert boots. The rounded toe, metal eyelets and hiking-style lacing give it a practical outdoor character without turning it into a technical hiking boot. Comparable Astorflex XLC models use this leather-midsole and traction-rubber construction. 

The 604 Taupe suede is a warm grey-brown shade that will naturally develop variation and character with wear. The fit is on the generous side, particularly compared with more fitted dress footwear.
