Resolute is a Japanese denim brand founded in 2010 by legendary jeans designer Yoshiyuki Hayashi. Before starting Resolute, Hayashi spent more than 20 years at Denime and became one of the key figures behind Japan’s vintage denim and replica-jeans movement. With Resolute, his idea was simple: forget seasonal collections and create a small selection of jeans that could remain unchanged for decades.
Every pair is made entirely in Japan, from rope dyeing and weaving through to sewing, washing and finishing. Resolute’s denim is woven on old shuttle looms in Okayama and is designed to develop the beautiful, lighter blue fading associated with vintage American jeans from the 1960s and ’70s.
