Where it’s made: Made in Japan
What it’s made from: 100% cotton high-density West Point uniform twill, unwashed
Fit description: High rise with a relaxed, wide straight leg
The Buzz Rickson’s Early Military Chinos 1945 Model reproduce U.S. military chinos from the closing stages of the Second World War. Compared with Buzz Rickson’s 1942 model, the 1945 has slightly less volume through the leg, but retains the deep rise and generous silhouette characteristic of period military trousers.
The fabric is a densely woven 100% cotton West Point uniform twill, developed by taking apart and studying rare vintage originals. The tight weave gives the fabric a smooth surface with a subtle lustre when new, together with the durability expected from military uniform cloth. With wear and washing it gradually softens and develops a less uniform, more vintage appearance.
Period details include a metal button fly with U.S. Army-engraved buttons, slanted front pockets and double-welt rear pockets. The side seams use a split-seam construction, helping give the trousers a cleaner appearance despite their relatively roomy cut.
This version is supplied unwashed, so please refer to our measurements when choosing your size.
