The Freenote Cloth Alcorn Wool Jacket takes inspiration from American sport jackets of the 1940s, combining a shorter silhouette with substantial wool fabric and carefully considered details. The Picante Plaid is woven in Japan exclusively for Freenote Cloth, using 100% British wool. The warm red, orange and earthy tones give the jacket a distinctive appearance, while the dense 12.5 oz Melton weave provides warmth and structure.
Inside, the body is lined with soft Japanese cotton moleskin for comfort and additional insulation, while the cotton/viscose sleeve lining makes it easier to wear over shirts and knitwear. The slightly cropped length and regular fit give the jacket a classic shape with room for layering.
Construction details include two front pockets with additional side openings, adjustable side cinch tabs and double-needle stitching. Custom YKK metal snaps and Italian horn buttons complete the jacket, reflecting Freenote Cloth’s attention to materials and traditional American garment construction.
