The Duke Gunpowder Jeans from Indigofera are based on classic 1930s Lee silhouettes, defined by a higher waist and very wide legs. The cut creates a strong, balanced shape, enhanced by the fabric’s natural drape.
Made from 14.5 oz Japanese selvedge denim woven at Nihon Menpu, the Gunpowder fabric is designed to age in a similar way to indigo denim. Despite its black tone, the fabric will soften, fade, and develop character with wear, gradually reflecting the life of the wearer.
The denim is soaked for comfort, removing shrinkage while retaining the fabric’s structure. Finished with a button fly and clean, workwear-inspired detailing, this is a distinctive take on wide-leg denim with strong ageing potential.
