Roslyn is Indigofera’s long-awaited women’s jean, inspired by Levi’s iconic 701 fit from the 1940s and ’50s—famously worn by Norma Jean Baker, better known as Marilyn Monroe. The result is a faithful yet modern interpretation of that timeless silhouette.

The fit features a true high waist that sits at the natural waistline, cut narrow through the waist but giving room through the hips and seat for comfort and shape—no gaping at the waist. It’s a style that flatters while staying true to the heritage feel of mid-century women’s denim.

This pair is sewn in Indigofera’s Vintage 70’s Denim, a 14 oz Japanese selvedge fabric inspired by the rugged denims of the late 1960s and early 1970s. Instead of singeing away the excess surface fibres, they’re left as they are, creating a wonderfully irregular texture and deep vintage character. Rinsed for comfort, with no further shrinkage expected.
