The IH-830 Indigo Herringbone Painter’s Pants from Iron Heart are built around classic painter pant functionality, using a richly textured 10 oz Japanese herringbone twill inspired by traditional workwear fabrics.

Woven with uneven yarns, the fabric has added depth and character, while the combination of rope-dyed indigo warp yarns and a white weft allows the trousers to fade gradually with wear, developing a subtle vintage appearance over time. Much like classic hickory stripe and Wabash fabrics, the ageing process becomes part of the garment’s appeal.

Designed for durability and practicality, the trousers feature reinforced belt loops sewn directly into the waistband, triple-needle construction, brass rivets, and a Universal zipper fly. Functional details include multiple utility pockets, a hammer loop, handwarmer pockets, and half-lined rear pockets for additional strength.
