The Iron Heart IHM-53-ODG Lightweight N1 Deck Jacket takes inspiration from the classic US Navy deck jackets of the 1940s. This lighter version replaces the heavy wool and alpaca lining of Iron Heart's traditional N1 with a much lighter, weather-resistant Japanese Ventile cotton lining, making it particularly suitable for spring, autumn and milder winter days.

The outer fabric is Iron Heart's substantial 12 oz Japanese whipcord, a tightly woven cotton twill made from hard-twisted yarns. Known for its durability and wind resistance, whipcord was traditionally used for military and workwear garments. For this updated version, the Olive Drab Green fabric is reactive dyed for improved colour retention.

The jacket features a contrasting corduroy-lined collar, cuffs and pockets, a two-way YKK zipper and two front pockets with snap fastenings. Additional details include an interior pocket with snap closure, adjustable buttoned tabs at the cuffs and hem, and a paracord drawstring at the waist.

The jacket is one-washed to minimise further shrinkage. The fit runs relatively small, particularly when layering, so we recommend choosing a size larger than usual.
