The IHSH-445 Indigo Dobby Mechanic Shirt from Iron Heart combines a richly textured fabric with the relaxed styling of the brand’s mechanic shirt cut. Woven from a 10 oz Japanese dobby cloth, the fabric uses an indigo rope-dyed warp paired with a black sulphur-dyed weft, creating a deep indigo appearance with exceptional fading potential.

Dobby weaving is a traditional loom technique dating back to the 19th century, allowing the fabric to develop a pronounced three-dimensional texture. Because more of the yarn surface is exposed compared to standard twill or plain weaves, the shirt is designed to fade with striking contrast, gradually revealing vibrant electric blue tones over time.
