The Briefcase Black from Kobashi Studio is a thoughtfully designed everyday briefcase that combines premium Japanese materials with understated functionality. Designed by Junichi Kobashi, the bag features a clean, minimalist appearance with no visible branding, allowing the quality of the materials and construction to speak for themselves.

The body is constructed from 19 oz paraffin-coated cotton canvas, produced by a historic Japanese textile mill established in 1885. The heavy canvas offers excellent durability and natural water resistance, making it well suited for daily use.

Practical details include an external snap pocket, a spacious main compartment, and a cushioned base designed to help protect a laptop or tablet during transport. The bag is finished with a Japanese-made solid brass YKK zipper, handmade sand-cast brass hardware, and vegetable-tanned saddle leather handles and pulls.

Produced in a small workshop in Hyogo, the Briefcase reflects the craftsmanship of several long-established Japanese manufacturers, resulting in a functional and beautifully executed everyday companion.
