The Japanese Chrysanthemum Bandana – Miru-iro Olive Green from Kobashi Studio combines traditional Japanese craftsmanship with contemporary design. Produced by a Tokyo scarf manufacturer that has been operating since 1918, the bandana is silk-screen printed and dyed so that the colour fully penetrates the fabric, creating a rich appearance on both sides.
The artwork is hand illustrated by Junichi Kobashi and reinterprets a traditional Japanese chrysanthemum pattern, giving the historic motif a fresh and modern expression while retaining its cultural roots.
Rendered in Miru-iro, a traditional Japanese olive green that has been appreciated for over 500 years, the colour is associated with calmness, good fortune, and celebration. The result is a versatile accessory that balances heritage, symbolism, and everyday wearability.
Crafted from soft 100% cotton and finished to the highest standards, it can be worn around the neck, in a pocket, or tied to a bag, while developing character through years of use.
Dimensions: 53 × 53 cm.
Supplied in a traditional Japanese wax paper envelope.
