The 8 Petals Kikumon Charm “Yatsu-giku” from Kobashi Studio is a handcrafted brass charm inspired by the traditional Japanese chrysanthemum crest. The Yatsu-giku (八ツ菊) motif features eight squared petals, symbolising endurance and purity — hallmarks of Japan’s imperial and cultural heritage.
Each charm measures approximately 16 mm in diameter and is made from solid brass, paired with a sterling silver loop. Designed by Junichi Kobashi, it showcases a vintage-like finish, complete with subtle file marks and natural irregularities that reveal its handmade character. The reverse side bears the “Kobashi” engraving in Japanese script.
Cast by a family-run metal workshop in Tokyo, this charm reflects meticulous craftsmanship and timeless design. Presented in a Japanese pig suede pouch, it embodies Kobashi Studio’s refined approach to traditional Japanese metalwork.
