The 8 Petals Kikumon Charm “Yatsu-giku” from Kobashi Studio is a beautifully handcrafted silver charm inspired by Japan’s imperial chrysanthemum crest. The Yatsu-giku (八ツ菊) design features eight squared petals, a rare variation that symbolises longevity and purity in traditional Japanese art.
Each charm measures approximately 16 mm in diameter and is crafted from sterling silver (925) by a family-run metal workshop in Tokyo. Designed by Junichi Kobashi, the piece is intentionally finished with subtle file marks and slight irregularities to highlight its handmade nature and character. The reverse side bears an engraved “Kobashi” signature in Japanese script.
Presented in a Japanese pig suede pouch, this charm captures the understated beauty and craftsmanship that define Kobashi Studio’s work—rooted in heritage, made for today.
