The MOMOTARO JEANS 400 Standard Wide is the widest and most relaxed fit in Momotaro’s current standard collection. It has a deep rise, generous room around the waist and thigh and a wide straight leg, tapering only gently below the knee. The high rise is designed to sit properly around the waist rather than low on the hips.
The jeans are made from Momotaro’s 14.7 oz TOKUNO BLUE denim, developed to create an exceptionally deep indigo face. A finer yarn is used for the weft to place greater emphasis on the indigo warp and give the denim a cleaner, richer appearance.
The denim is supplied rigid and unwashed, allowing the fabric to develop its character and fading entirely through wear. Unlike traditional shrink-to-fit denim, however, Momotaro applies a low-shrinkage treatment to minimise dimensional changes after the first wash. Some shrinkage can still occur, and tumble drying should be avoided.
Details include a button fly, lined waistband and cowhide leather patch.
