Where it’s made: Made in Japan
What it’s made from: 100% cotton selvedge bandana fabric
Fit description: Traditional bandana size with a soft yet textured hand feel
The 9302 Kojima Bandana from Omoto Denim reflects the same philosophy that defines the brand’s denim: thoughtful craftsmanship, slow production, and materials designed to improve with age.
Woven on antique shuttle looms, the fabric is produced under low tension, creating a soft hand feel with subtle irregularities that add depth and character. The result is a bandana that feels both refined and authentic, balancing comfort with the textured qualities associated with traditional Japanese textiles.
The yarns are thread-dyed before being finished using a traditional Japanese discharge printing technique. Rather than applying colour to the surface, discharge printing removes dye from the fabric to create the design, allowing the pattern to become an integral part of the material itself. This process creates a softer finish and a richer visual depth than conventional printing methods.
Featuring Omoto’s original “Kojima” motif, the design pays tribute to the historic denim-producing region of Kojima, celebrating the heritage and craftsmanship that continue to define Japanese denim culture.
Finished with a one-wash treatment, this is a beautifully crafted everyday accessory designed to age gracefully alongside the garments it accompanies.
