Where it’s made: Made in Japan
What it’s made from: 100% cotton heavyweight fleece
Fit description: Relaxed, boxy vintage fit
The orSlow Heavyweight Two Tone Sweatshirt is heavily inspired by 1970s American athletic sweatshirts, with orSlow studying vintage originals to recreate both their construction and distinctive proportions. The dense heavyweight cotton fleece has a firm, substantial hand, softened by a wash that gives the fabric a slightly rougher, vintage character.
The body is cut cross-grain, with the sweatshirt fabric running horizontally rather than vertically, while ribbed side panels provide additional flexibility. This construction was originally developed to help reduce vertical shrinkage after washing and is one of the defining features of classic American reverse-weave sweatshirts.
The two-tone ribbing and faded front print give the Ecru version the appearance of an old collegiate sweatshirt, while the generous body, substantial ribs and wide sleeves reinforce its mid-century athletic character.
Jonas is 183 cm / 75 kg and wears size 3.
