Where it’s made: Made in Japan
What it’s made from: 100% cotton herringbone twill, stonewashed
Fit description: Relaxed, boxy fit with dropped shoulders and room for layering
The orSlow USMC Herringbone Coverall takes inspiration from the utility jackets worn by the United States Marine Corps during the Second World War. Originally introduced in the 1940s, these jackets were designed as practical military workwear, with a simple construction and durable herringbone twill fabric.
This version is made from substantial Japanese cotton herringbone twill, characterised by its distinctive zigzag weave. The Black fabric has been stonewashed to create a faded, worn-in appearance that highlights the texture of the cotton. The fabric will continue to soften with wear and washing.
The jacket features three patch pockets, including one on the chest and two larger pockets at the waist. Charcoal-coloured metal donut buttons, a traditional collar and buttoned cuffs complete the military-inspired design. The unlined construction makes it comfortable to wear as either a lightweight jacket or an overshirt.
The relaxed silhouette has generous room through the body and shoulders, making it easy to layer over a sweatshirt or heavier shirt.
Jonas is 183 cm / 75 kg and wears size 3.
