The SC42025 Denim Waist Overalls Wide Leg (2025 Model) from Sugar Cane mark the brand’s first new in-line standard jean model in years. Rooted in waist overall patterns from the same era as the 1936 Type I denim jacket, the design has been reworked with a wider leg from the thigh down to achieve a true workwear silhouette.

While the waist has been subtly modernised by removing suspender buttons and the cinch back, key pre-war details remain, including the crotch rivet. The 13 oz selvedge denim is woven using slubby No.7 yarns in both warp and weft, spun with pre-modern techniques to create a highly irregular, textured fabric full of character.

Finished with predominantly orange contrast stitching, the jeans closely replicate the look, feel, and construction of authentic pre-war workwear. These jeans run small; we recommend sizing up.
