The Late S40’s WWII Jeans from TCB Jeans are a highly detailed reproduction of late-1940s Levi’s, reflecting the unique conditions and material shortages of the wartime era. Based on a rare vintage pair, they capture the irregularities and character that define this period of denim history.
The 13.5 oz denim is woven using a mix of No. 7.5 and No. 6.5 uneven yarns, creating a rugged texture that closely mimics original WWII-era fabrics. This results in a fabric that not only looks authentic but will also develop rich, distinctive fades over time. A standout detail is the use of cotton flannel pocket bags, a period-correct feature that subtly influences how the jeans age.
True to the originals, the jeans feature misaligned back yokes, iron laurel wreath buttons, and construction using multiple thread counts, all carefully reproduced to match vintage specifications. Finished with a deerskin patch and pink selvedge ID, they represent TCB’s deep commitment to historical accuracy and craftsmanship.
This is a one-wash version of an unsanforized fabric, meaning no further shrinkage should be expected.
