The New S40’s Jacket from TCB Jeans is a refined and more faithful reproduction of 1940s wartime denim jackets. After producing an adapted version for several years, TCB revisited original vintage pieces and decided to return fully to the authentic WWII-era silhouette.

This updated version now mirrors the original specifications, including body length, width, and sleeve angle, resulting in a truer vintage fit and feel. The design reflects the utilitarian nature of the time, with simplified construction, a single chest pocket without flap, and a classic four-button front.

Crafted in Japan from 14oz selvedge denim, the fabric is woven to replicate the irregular texture of vintage loom production. The one-wash finish provides a softer hand from the start while minimising further shrinkage.

Designed to pair naturally with the S40’s jeans in the same fabric, this is a serious and uncompromising take on WWII-era denim — made for those who appreciate true reproduction.
