Inspired by 1940s American workwear, the S40’s Jeans from TCB are a faithful reproduction with a few practical updates. Featuring a high rise and a straight leg that maintains room without excess, these jeans strike the perfect balance between heritage fit and modern wearability.
The 14oz selvedge denim is woven from Memphis cotton at a Japanese mill and then sewn in TCB’s own workshop in Kojima, Okayama. It’s been washed once to remove shrinkage, softening the fabric while preserving its potential for rich fades over time.
TCB (Two Cats Brand) is renowned for its dedication to vintage reproduction, crafting each piece with historically accurate details, from tucked belt loops and hidden rivets to paper patch and red line selvedge. The garments are produced in-house using vintage Union Special machines, ensuring an authentic construction throughout.
