The TCB Jeans Wrecking Crew Pants are a faithful reproduction of American work overalls from the 1940s and ’50s, based on original vintage examples in TCB's collection. Made in Kojima, Japan, they feature an 11.3 oz selvedge denim developed to recreate the uneven texture and character of vintage workwear fabrics.
The denim has a slightly lighter indigo shade than traditional five-pocket jeans, combined with grey weft yarns that give the fabric a distinctive appearance as it fades. Although woven on vintage shuttle looms, the selvedge edges are largely hidden in the finished construction, just as they were on the original overalls.
Traditional workwear details include adjustable braces with brass buckles, a bib with multiple pockets, a button fly, large back pockets, a hammer loop and a ruler pocket. TCB has paid particular attention to the brass donut buttons, reinforced stitching and chainstitched waistband, reproducing the construction methods found on vintage examples.
The generous straight cut provides plenty of room for movement, making these comfortable to wear over a T-shirt, sweatshirt or shirt. The denim has been one-washed to minimise further shrinkage.
